Part 1 : Boustead, Nissan introduces the new 370Z
Yup!, it's time for the next Z, The old 3.5L V6 engine gets an injection of HGH and becomes the new 3.7L V6. Bore size and redline remain the same, but the stroke and compression increases, giving the new 370Z 332hp. It was also said that the vehicle is lighter with a shorter wheelbase than its predecessor. There’s a new seven-speed automatic transmission, and what Nissan says is the world’s first synchronized downshift rev matching system for the six-speed manual gearbox.

On 16th May 2009, the new 370Z was unveiled before a private crowd during a launched ceremony last night by Boustead's Chairman, Dato Paduka Lim Beng Thai at Sheraton Utama Hotel at Bandar Seri Begawan.

Everyone was very surprise to see the real car, what was buzzing on most 350Z owner who saw the car for the first time. The pictures available from the internet underestimate the look of the the 370Z. It look far more better than the pictures. One owner of the 350Z told us that the new 370Z are better in performance and styling. The exterior was amazing with the new curve front HID and rear LED Lights which resemble the shape of a boomerang. The interior was clean and smart.

Two cars was unveiled that night, Diamond Black Colored 370Z with manual transmission at the price of B$75,000 OTR was previewed inside the hotel and at the main entrance another black 370Z with automatic transmission at the price of B$77,000 OTR. Only 2 thousand separate the two ‘Fantastic’ car.

The 370Z is powered by a 3.7-liter VQ37VHR engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL) rated at 332 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic with Downshift Rev Matching (DRM) and Adaptive Shift Control (ASC).
