The TOYOTA Avanza, which is almost an icon on Brunei roads, has now been superseded by its all-new 2nd generation upgrade, which was launched on Friday 13th, to enthusiastic customers who streamed in at their convenience throughout the day, to all three NBT TOYOTA showrooms.
This completely upgraded, larger and better Avanza is available in two variants: the TOYOTA Avanza 1.3 (Manual) and the TOYOTA Avanza 1.5 (Auto).
Both models are powered by the reliable and time-proven 1.3-litre and 1.5-litre VVT-i engines respectively.
According to Haji Ahmad Haji Husin, NBT General Manager (Marketing), the new Avanza ticks all the right boxes for a reasonably priced value-for-money MPV that handles and performs more like a saloon.
“All things considered, the all-new TOYOTA AVANZA must be viewed up-front-and-personal, as well as test driven, to truly appreciate the tremendous value it now represents. The all-new Avanza is all set to continue its status as one of the most popular vehicles in the MPV segment. In fact, being a 7-seater, it is perfect for the average Brunei family,” Hj Ahmad emphasised, when asked about the potential of the new models in the local market.
