Saturday 10 October 2009, QAF Auto launched the much-awaited four-door luxury coupe sedan from Porsche. “THE PORSCHE PANAMERA”. The car was first launched at the Shanghai International Auto show, which was held in April and now arrived in Brunei Darussalam. The Porsche Panamera comes in three variants – Panamera S, Panamera 4S and Panamera Turbo.

Porsche Panamera 4S is on displayed on the showroom and it cost BND$235K which comes one of the most expensive sport sedan on the market. But who cares when the engine can roar everytime from 0 – 100km/h in 5 secs ( All-wheel drive ). The 4s gets 400HP at 6500 rpm and 7 speed PDK gear box to handle it.

The Panamera was the business – plenty of leg-room, plenty of comfort, plenty of goodies to fiddle with and a feeling of complete satisfaction and well-being. For a car that’s technically up against the S-Classes and 7 Series’ of the world, that’s good news.

The engine is based on the 4.8-litre V8 lurking under the Cayenne’s hood, but the-all aluminium engine’s been worked on for the saloon. It gets direct fuel injection, and a one-sided variable camshaft management system, with adjustable valve lift.

The insides offer toys and electric gadgets to keep the the owner happy. To deliver ultimate in luxury the Panamera comes with four individual seats and a central console which extends all the way back creating a personal ambience for all the passengers.

The adaptive air suspension with a fully controlled damper system which lets the driver choose his individual style of motoring. The intelligent chassis concept together with the air suspension delivers comfort of a grand touring saloon while at the same time not compromising on driving dyanamic, a hallmark of any Porsche. The air suspension has twin air chambers per wheel one of which is locked in the sport mode to make it stiffer.

Created by Porsche Design, the collection features a new line of color-coordinated luggage, with polycarbonate cases and aluminum frames, designed to fit into the cargo bay of the four-seater. Price Tag $1K ++ each.
